Your kitten companion needs food to help them grow and be healthy. There are certain ingredients that are essential in their diet and that includes:
- Diamond Naturals has cage-free chicken as its first ingredient. This is a good source of protein.
- This formula contains the essential amino acid Taurine.
- Whole foods for protein sources and whole fruits and vegetables for important antioxidants and vitamins. Diamond Naturals Kitten Formula includes all of these with their, chicken and fish meal, kale, spinach, pumpkin, coconut and more.
The Diamond company was created in 1970 by two brothers-in-law. Gary Schell and Richard Kampeter wanted to make premium pet food that was affordable. The company began in Meta, Missouri and is now made in several states in the USA. Presently, it is sold in over 100 countries as the company’s philosophy of every pet deserves the very best has caught on.
The Diamond brand believes in creating great pet food and have included 12 superfoods in their formula. Superfoods are foods that are very high in nutriment value. These foods make the pet food formula much more nutritionally complete.
Diamond Naturals Kitten Formula Dry food is made with the care and quality the company insists on for all their pet food brands. They have added DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) into this formula to enhance essential Omega-3 fatty acid. DHA is necessary for the development of the brain and nervous system in young mammals like your new furry kitten. It’s absolutely vital for the development of vision and the central nervous system. The kitten food also contains superfoods, taurine, and probiotics.

Transition Instructions
Any time you are going to transition your cat from one food to another make sure you do it gradually. Mix the new food in slowly with the older food and increase the amount of the new food each day. It should take about seven days to make the change, but if your cat is a bit picky, older or has any health problems it can take from 10 to 14 days to make the conversion.
Please check with your vet before attempting to change their food, in case they recognize that due to your family feline’s health needs, their diet should not be modified. Always have clean, fresh, water available for your family kitten/cat during this transition time and every day of their lives.
The Bottom Line
The reviews for this food are predominantly positive. No reviewer gave it less than 3 out of 5 stars. A full 95% of the reviewers recommended this diet. Many found even their picky family felines enjoyed the taste and did not beg for food in-between meals as much. All of them noted that the coats of their feline companions looked much shinier after only a few weeks on this food. One even noted that her feline companion was more active after switching to this brand.
The list of ingredients was rather lengthy, but a lot of them are very good nutrient sources. In addition, the food is considered very digestible and good for picky eaters. The company also appears to put a lot of effort into making quality pet food including working with veterinarians and nutritionists, stringent quality control in their manufacturing hubs and a policy of not using any corn, wheat, filler, artificial flavors, or colors.
It is not expensive food and that means if you try it and your family feline does not like it, you have not wasted a lot of money. If they do like it, this will be a brand that is not only available online, but in many small, local pet stores. If your family kitten inhales their bowl of vittles, you will know Diamond Naturals Kitten Formula Dry food is right.
